I grew up on Little Oak Island, South Carolina. It is located just before the bridge on Folly Beach, SC. Our home was one of three on the entire island. Mariner’s Cay now has hundreds and hundreds of condos located on a once tiny eclectic acreage of land. I went to high school at James Island High. College was at Trident Technical College and College of Charleston. The final semester, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Excelsior (Regents) College. I have two master’s degrees with Webster University, Charleston, SC. One Master’s is in Human Resource Development. The second Master’s is in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional, nationally certified Counselor. I pursued and have completed my doctorate in Health Psychology. I also am a LPC supervisor.
After twenty years working for one corporation, I decided to go for my dream as a counselor. I worked at Hospice as a bereavement spiritual counselor. I counseled both the patient and the caregiver and family members. After Hospice, I opened my private practice and now counsel adults , young adults, and children.
